Changing Perceptions in the Workplace
We see potential, not limitations! Our clients have a wide range of abilities, interests and skillsets. It’s our job to work with them to find out just how these abilities and interests align with job opportunities. We connect with local companies to find ideal placements, ones that allow clients to contribute their valuable work while participating in the local economy. Sometimes this means we also spend some time educating and illustrating our employer connections as to how our clients can be a meaningful asset to their teams. Our support provides a safety net for the onboarding process and ensures a smooth transition from new hire to employee, and we continue to support our clients to make sure the employer-employee relationship is healthy and working well for both sides.
Changing Perceptions in the Community
We create spaces where everyone belongs! This allows our clients to participate on the level they are comfortable with. Our community activities programs offer clients the chance to engage and be active outside their homes. With 20+ events per month, we give ample opportunity for clients to find fun, rewarding social activities and to try new things in a safe environment with their support team at their sides. Our community activities are in all sorts of locations, often in different areas of the metro area, giving clients options to interact in different types of spaces. This is great for them and we think it’s also great for the general public, too. It’s a good reminder that there’s space for everyone.
Changing Perceptions at Home (and in the Individual)
When barriers are broken down, minds are also opened! This is true not just in the workplace or community, but also at home and in the day-to-day lives of our clients and their families. Success on the job and participation in the community can go far beyond these spheres, opening doors and offering potential in unexpected places. This is our ultimate vision of success, beyond employment goals and social schedules, because it allows for clients to become more empowered in their own lives.
